It is something we don’t think about and hope to never experience.  You have just been involved in a vehicle accident that is more than just a fender bender.  What should you do in the important seconds after the crash has occurred?  It is generally something that we are not prepared for, but maybe we should be!

Here are some of the things to do that are so very important –

1.  Check your own body for injuries…this is sort of like putting on your oxygen mask first.

2.  If all seems to be well, now check the passengers in your vehicle.

3.  Get everyone off the road.

4.  Call 911.

5.  Exchange information with the other driver(s)

6.  Document the scene…especially with your cell phone.
